Hi Krista -- This is such a great site! I'm cleaning up all my old emails this evening and came across one that I had forwarded from the city last year (before I left my research position) and it was a link to your blog. Anyway, I am heading to Australia in December to do a PhD and would love to blog while there ... but I haven't done anyway like this before. Would you meet me for coffee and give me some guidance? Best regards, Lori

Epic. Seriously. I love every inch of this experience you just had. You are *killing* this whole journey!

And, you're absolutely right that when you first start to ask yourself questions, they're really scary. But you'll get there. By #33, you'll get there. And if you don't, that's what carrying the spirit of 30 Things into the rest of your life is about.

It seems to me that more and more people are coming to this realization. Good for you for seeing it, and doing something about it! I posted something similar yesterday. Must have been in the air :)

I have a platform bed and my BB sits on its edge, right by my head. When I wake in the morning (from the alarm on my BB) the first thing I do is check emails, Facebook messages etc. Even though all I really want to do is snooze for another 10 mins, I HAVE to do this first. And even when the red light isn't blinking, I still touch my screen to see if maybe the little red light isn't working (that might be OCD) but either way, an unhealthy relationship. Good for you for disconnecting.
